Young Grell
One of the very first versions of Grell I ever did...with actual effort! I still had no idea about money because no job, so my first wig was a horrible party city wig a former friend gave me. It was BAD but I got it to work??? Eventually I was able to obtain an ebay wig that I recycled for my Seth cosplay. Woo, recycling!
The first edition was the suit outfit, SO EASY cuz I had everything already. I love canon closet cosplays! The 2nd version was the Colonial outfit which was my first cosplay I actually made!
The coat was made with a simplicity pattern, that I made too big because I didn't know about fitting cosplays to my size. Oops. It's not lined, it's cheap cotton with no interfacing. Very much a babies first cosplay. I never got real photos of this because I wanted to redo this cosplay since forever but never got around to it (and never will). It was through this cosplay that I actually met one of my cosplay idols on DeviantART. She did the same version and I was able to see how she did it and applied it to my own (I discovered satin stitching!!). The tie is actually a piece of doll clothing I made. The scythe was made by the William cosplayers (it's just wood and craft foam). The pants were from the Good-Will that I altered, my first altering project and the beginning of that journey!! I love altering preexisting clothing. Shoes are from good will, they were the right style but wrong color but yolo. I also didn't have the right glasses so I used my own. Very inaccurate but at least I could see.
