Reisi Munakata
Reisi Munakata was a quick passion project that somehow kick started me into being more serious about cosplay. There are so many errors with my cosplay, inaccuracy, and cheap materials that if I were to make it now, it would be widely different. I learned some new techniques, improved what I already knew, and really delved into pattern drafting (although I'm still not that great haha). I did really enjoy the cosplay both when making it and wearing it.
The entire cosplay was made from a mixture of broadcloth and kona cotton with the cheapest of trims. It's fully lined, with a nice interfacing in the...collar/cape/thing? The blue triangles on the front lol. It's very form fitting and over the course of my adventures in it, it began to fall apart at the seams (literally). And somehow there looks to be a bullet hole on the back, most fitting!
This is one of those cosplays I always wanted to maybe revisit but ultimately if I did him again, I'd just buy it.
